dropping the S...
What would you guys recommend doing a drop on the S? Would you recommend Springs or Coilovers? If i install the springs will they hurt my stock setup as far as the rest of the suspension goes? or If i was going to drop do it right and get the full Coilovers?
also what is a adequate drop on the S to get around town and over speed bumps and everything else we may encounter on the road? 1inch or maybe 1.5inch? thanks gals and guys.

I personally prefer coilovers because I like to have customizability. But it all depends on what youre going after... I would say that if you're ONLY thinking about looks of the car, then you can be well off with a set of springs. Just look around and see how much the different brands of springs drop the car. However, if you want any type of noticeable handling improvement, you should think about coilovers. Also something to keep in mind is the price of these two options...a nice set of coilovers can cost a nice chunk of change...
My S2k came with Tein S-tech springs and also has an OEM style CF front lip. I have had it for almost a week, and I've been driving around a lot... So far the ONLY limitation for me was a drive thru touchless car wash. The bars in which you have to get your tire was probably 0.5" too high for me to make it safely. Other than that, I've hit a pothole or two
But didn't bottom out or anything...
I've also driven over speed bumps of different sizes and shapes and made it without any problem. And I've also gone over some retardedly angled driveways. I'm just extra careful whenver I approach any kind of bump, and haven't encountered ANY problems. I haven't scraped my lip or anything yet (knock on wood).
BTW, according to the Tein website, the S-tech springs for the S2K lower it 1.02" in the front and 0.98" in the back.
Hope that helps...

Super helpful. thanks for the insightful right up. I think i will lean towards the coilover setup. I would love the improved handling. Do you think the Tein Flex are sufficient or is it just preference as to which ones would be a good fit? i dont mind it being to bouncy as long as it's very responsive. perhaps i should just add the edfc with the teins!

Now I know the stock handling and feel of a 92 econobox hatch can't be compared to that of a specialty sports car from 2001, but I still think the Flex setup will do a good job of improving the handling and feel of the S2K.
With the Flex setup on my civic set to level 5, the car was just amazing. It had a very sporty feel that I now see as being similar to my S... Maybe not AS good as the S, but it definitely felt MUCH better than a lot of other sporty or sports compact cars I had been in...
