[B]Ummm.. you all realize that usually if you dont buy a car straight from the truck (brand new) that it WILL be beaten on... I hate to say it but it is true... While looking for new cars over 9 out of 10 salesmen would.. "show you what the car could do".. And literally redline cars with less than 50 miles on them.. Good for the car?... No not at all..... Do I care?... No not at all....

I apologize if my post was harsh. Obviously you didn't have control on what your Dad did. I just hate to think of the car I like so much being abused. If my Dad or a friend did it, I would voice my dissapproval, and never tell the story to others who love/respect the car. Nuf said.

If you want to be taken seriously, then write seriously. That is not to say every message must be perfect. People will always make typos, I do it all the time. I am NOT suggesting that you make all your posts perfect. However, legible would be nice. Your first post is almost completely incomprehensible.
Driving a car for a long time is the best way to learn it's limits. However, it does not guarantee that you know the limits or how to drive it at it's limits.
People do complain when others don't drive the car as it was intended. I do not believe (IMO) that the S2000 was ever designed to give smoke shows. Also, the owner's manual specifically states to avoid reving the motor into VTEC before reaching the break-in period of 600mi or 1000km. When you abuse a car, people call it abuse.
Your father has influence over you whether you know it or not. What he has done, or even will do has an impact on you. He has shown very little respect for other people's property and since you don't seem to understand why that annoys so many of us, it seems you share your father's view.
I showed up to test drive the S I'd put a deposit on, with the one condition that I needed to drive it before buying. I brought along a woman for the ride. They wouldn't let me take her. I had to have a salesperson along as co-pilot. It was a disappointment to me then. But after all this I've read, I'm glad they have that policy. Makes me feel better about the twelve miles on the odometer when I got it. Way to go Ohio!
Funny, I always thought that a salesman would accompany you when you test drive a car. Don't think they'll let you go alone
. And I agree, launching the s2k from 0 is bad as it is. Would never do that to my car even if it was broken in. 2nd it wasn't even broken in yet... tsk tsk tsk
