AP2 may or may not designate 2.2 liter. that i dont know




what i DO know is wisconsin was making an EXAMPLE on where the 2.2 with the NEW gearing that comes in north american spec cars WOULD top out at 9k.

damn. i wish so much that i had that f20c motor. my s is just so watered down and worthless. reminds me of drivivg my old 84 civic. guess i will just have to sell it and beging the search for a nice clean ap1. wonder if anyone on this board would just trade me even up for their 00-03? miles and condition dont matter. i just have to experience that 9k redline before i die. NOT!

BTW, I found a 2002 S2000 for a decent price, and its blue w/blue interior, and *apparently* driven by a woman for 30k miles.

This model would have the older engine, but the newer 2002 shifter right? And rear glass?

Should I get it at around $18k?

i test drove both and love the 9k redline but also love the look of the 04+ s2k's.. i would love to get the f20c motor into a 04+ for some reason that sounds fun

The f22c will rev to 9k as well. Just drop in an f20c ecu. I'm sure its not that simple, but, guys on this board have done it and reved the cars that high many times with no problems.

i think the real s2k is the MY00 because they don't have those piston oiling jets. all the later s2ks are just soft. what a worthless thread.....

Please do not try to pass this off for truth...it has been documented that 9000RPMs in a 2.2L will kill the motor.
