Drove my first s2000- noticed a couple things
Which S are you talking about TRD_Celica the white one or the other one you just purchased.
If you are interested in the car. Have the alignment check and or fixed before you purchase the car. The cutch delay valve does effect the lauching of the car in the first three gears of the car.

Have IQ's just dropped sharply of late?
cowl shake? vague steering? in an S2000? are we talking about the same car, here?
i'd be concerned with a massive accident in the car's previous history if that was the case.
good luck
darcy

It's the wiggle in the A-pillars that you get on a lot of convertibles like Camaros or Sebrings when you hit bumps or go over rough RR tracks.
Pretty imperceptible in an S2000. They are pretty stiff cars. I'd be a little concerned if there was obvious cowl shake in an S2K.
I also wonder what he means by "vague" steering. If he means that there is little feedback -- I think he is right compared to some cars. If it feels mushy, I woulsd be suspious that there are inapropriate tires on the car with squishy side walls or maybe alignment issues.
