E36 M3: an even match for the s2k

Keep in mind, thats a 95 M3 with the 3 liter motor. 96+ has a 3.2 which has a little more torque. While that doesnt change the picture that much, it does change it a bit. The extra stroke in the 3.2 provide a bit more low end torque which might lower that launch RPM a little bit. And as close as these cars are, every little bit counts.

My 95 E36 M3 Gained about 20 rear wheel HP by just adding an intake and exhaust.
The car mentioned above should have improved more than mine.

I agree with Greg. I had a '95 & '96 M3 and they were very nice cars. But they are not two seat convertibles.

I actually caught and passed two E36 M3's at summit. One had race (riceboy)stickers all over it and the other was plain.

We are all in the same group(safe enough to be solo....or ya tricked the instructor), but I would imagine a wide variety of driving skills.

I have never even sat in a BMW, so I cannot vouch for their ability, but they seem pretty good at everything. Expensive though.
