The ebrake/console area gets warm/hot after some driving

I tried insulating it from the top (under the console) which was not very effective. When I had the transmission out I did it from underneath getting a good seal and it is much better.

I still think someone (or sponser) should come up with a solution for this. It's really bad in the summer months here. After a long day of driving, my right leg is cooking.

Anyone have any ideas?

I rather have the tunnel and interior hot then insulate it and keep the heat near the tranny area. Hello grinds if that happens..

Right.

And it does get warm after driving for a bit. Totally normal. For some reason, I notice it much more when the top is down.

I just figure that's what the A/C is for... It blows right down on the tranny tunnel.

In Phoenix I think the sun heats the center console more than the transmission
