I was wondering myself if there is a aftermarket chip that would increase motor performance. I know of friends who have chips in other brands and it increased their performance.
Have any of you done this or know of one?

It is not possible to replace the chip in the S2000 ECU. You must buy a stand alone aftermarket ECU if you want to tune. A "piggy back" unit like the VAFC has its limitations.

xviper is right.

the s2000 has a non flashable ROM chip in the ECU. the ECU is actually a pretty solid unit, just not upgradeable without a piggyback or a new stand alone. you hear a lot about nissan owners doing flash ROM tuning with their ECU's. i wish we could do that, but we can't.
