After driving stick for so many years, I stalled once in front of my mechanic with my friend ... I felt like hiding under my bed afterwards

I dont have an s but i do have an rsx-s ( When your stopped you push the stick all the way to the right and pull down to get into reverse you dont push up or down on it though)
Any way it was my first manual and at first i couldnt go from a stop with out peeling out. So for 3-4 days i peeled out at every light/stop sign. Traffic was pretty embarrassing to.

I just got my car back yesterday with a competition stage 2 clutch. (my oem clutch was slipping BAD and I needed a new one). It's touchier than oem, and when pulling out of the place, which was kinda up a hill... I stalled. then on the way home I was either kinda peeling out or close to stalling. my bf kept laughing at me as he followed me home in his truck... hehe...

It was much better on the way to work today, but still... I've been driving stick since I learned to drive... how embarassing!

West of Portland, OR is a road called Laurelwood Road. 18% grade. Straight up the mountain on the east side and 10-20 mph switchbacks on the west side. I aproached it from the east on the way to Forest Grove yesterday.

I'm in 6th gear just humming along when the engine becomes very sluggish and the S slows. I drop a gear and still I'm slowing with full throttle!! Down to 4th.. still slowing. "Crap" I think. "Engine problems".

A quick scan of the instrument panel yealds no clue as to why my car is bogging so badly. I pull over and stop then shift into 1st and give it some throttle and I'm accelerating, but not very quickly and as the S is gathering speed things are getting back to normal.

After I crested the top I noticed the 18% downgrade ahead and it dawned on me that the east side straight road was really steep.

I've been on that road, and no way it's an 18% grade. More like 18.67%.

Went to a honda dealer for a look around last year. I parked my S infront of the building. I was walking around the lot looking at Si sedans and this HOT sales woman starts talking to me, flirting etc. And asked if the S2000 was mine and i said (all proud) YUP! Then she asked if i wanted to take the Si for a test drive.

We get in i start it up and...I stall it.....

TWICE!!!...

EPIC FAIL

That's when you ask to sit on her lap so she can show you how its done... or is it supposed to be the other way around?
