It's Honda's Sports Study Model, the precursor vehicle to the production S2k. I have to admit that I liked the SSM's in-bumper headlight arrangement more than the current arrangement, but I understand why they went with the production design.

seriously! thats scared the crap out of me, Im in a middle of purchasing the s2000, but not if they were coming out with a totally new upgraded model! So what really is going to happen with the S2000 in the future?

Something to note is that a lot of the molded plastic panels have production calendars stamped from 1999-2003. But don't get too excited, as it looks like the calendars are not permanent in the mold.
