Roceye, on mine there's no change in the way it runs.

 

Roceye... thanks for the input. It doesn't tend to change with temp. I heard it for the first time last night when the car was already warmed up. Went to sleep, and when I started it this morning it sounded exactly the same with a cold engine. I didn't run it long.

Definitely runs fine, no smoke, roughness or missing. I'm hoping it's a loose valve adjuster like Roceye suggested. Next step is to try and find a worthy dealer to work on the car!

 

Good luck with the repair Jason. Despite the bad stories that we hear about dealers, there are some good ones out there. Even if the sales department sucks, the service department may be excellent. Keep us posted on your progress.

 

I bent my valves too..but its due to a mis shift. I just got my car 8 days ago too . Only 3035 miles on it. Honda is not working with me either. So I made a claim with my insurance company. They dealer im working with is horrible. Because im 21yo. the service writter told the District service manager that he thought i was racing. So he declined me any assistance. I dont know what to do now other than to call insurance. Ive been working with customer relations but they cannot over throw the DSM's decision. They can only talk to him to see if he will change his mind. My car has been at honda sitting for 5 days with not the first phone call from them. They are getting customer service to handle all of the dirty work and customer service isnt happy about that. Ill let know guys know what becomes of it. I feel like ive been discriminated against because of my age.
