Energetic, it looks to me as if the retainers failed, and as we all know, over revs can cause them to stretch and fail. I can't see how heat in the combustion chamber could cause the retainers to fail, and it sure looks like that's what happened. Is there any chance that your motor was over reved at some earlier time?

seems like a valve retaining keeper failed and dropped a valve into cyl #2 where it got crushed up.
Actually this is the most possible reason...

[QUOTE=Ks320,Jun 13 2006, 07:37 PM]You have an AP1 though, wouldn't that just be the redline?

Marios - did you bounce off the rev limiter in first? I thought J's recommended that you use the cooling mods??

It is recommended yes, but I never had an overheating problem and in this case it was not overheating at all, cause I didnt push the engine before...

Lets face it... If the rev limiter is set to 9200rpms the throttle/fuel supply is stopped but the engine rpms are actually more than 9200rpms for a second. This happens to all engines and especially in our engines revving above 8400rpms...

I'm just clutching at straws here Marios. Just hope J's give you a considerable discount with the new engine.

I hope the price will be right. Will wait for their reply and consider my options. J's Racing has two types of engine listed in their website...

1) Power:265ps / torque: 26kgm specification
2) Power 300ps / torque: 30kgm specification

I have asked them to quote for cost & availability for both specs...
