here you go buddy. one is on top of the block itself where the head sits, its visible. the other is on the bottom of the transmission (blue circle on heatsheld )

The number on the top of the block that he is showing has the last few numbers of the car vin stamped on it...

The head also has an actual vin-plate riveted to it, and that is on the backside of the head between the head and firewall...

I thought the engine number was also written on a sticker near the rad.

See the lowest pulley? You can see it to the left. Pics can be clicked on to enlarge. OOps, I'm not sure if that's it or not now according to the arrows above.

The engine number is written on that sticker/plate (or whatever it is called in English), together with the VIN number. Mine says F20C2-xxxxxxx (the x's are numbers on the sticker/plate).

I see now on your picture that they aren't placed at the exact same spot. But my car clearly has the VIN and engine number there as you see. Maybe that is just on cars for the European market, but its definately there! hehe
