Default Engine problems

While I was racing my friend i mishifted from 3rd gear redline and shifted it to 2nd gear accidently. Then I drove it to a parking lot to see if the car is ok, but nothing sounded wrong with the engine. One of my friend asked me to race him so i did. We raced about 13 time finally I was on my way home and a celica pulled up on me we both raced two time and my friend in the rsx was behind me. I let them both pass me so they can race. I accidently step on the gas it hit 9000 Rpm and the car died.

Last night me and my friend took the head part, It looked pretty bad my pistons had some marks on top of it. In side the piston hole there was marks on the side.
Peices of broken valves were on top of my piston ring.

Do you guys think i need to replace my whole engine or can i get my engine rebuilt?

I suppose it depends on the condition of the head. Can you remill it?

A full short block is around 2g's with headwork and internals you will be looking at around 3500 not including labor.
