IMO, A lot more people will be grateful than the handful that will be upset that they paid too much and therefore will get less for their used units. This is a community first, a place to sell stuff 2nd. You are to be commended for raising the knowlege base for the community, no more no less. And I'm not even interested in changing my gears!

Tks big ben .I have always felt that profit should be a far second to freedom of information .What you have done is most noble .Your efforts help the whole community. I have nothing against making money via the internet .Yet this is a community that has been set up to help each other first and foremost .Did you ever work for 60 minutes or 2020??? . As a result of your efforts i will take a different direction re my gear upgrade .As for various sponsers that might be pissed off .Business is Business.There are far more people in the community that are happy today and just a few sponsers upset .If our sponsers are sharp businessmen maybe the price will change so we can still support them .For without us the community they would not exists.

I agree, who doesn't want to pay less for products. And yes maybe some of the board members who also happen to be business people may get upset, but what if they weren't board members here and it just happened to be the place that everyone got their gears from? Would you feel bad then? I can tell you dozens of places to get stuff cheaper...i.e. G/B's on Defi gauges on the Suburau forums are ALWAYS cheaper than the one's here and AJR also sells some of the gauges cheaper;Diamond Bar Honda sells the Comptech S/C(w/o A/C) for $4000.95 (their everyday price) and the last G/B here was for $4400. I understand that people are in business to make a profit, but the customer is also looking to get the best deal possible.
I commend you Big Ben!! I just wish we had a place to post businesses that offer great deals.

Ugh, I have to state this again. I don't think any of you should be jumping on sponsors. None of you guys can stand there and tell me you know exactly how much we pay for stuff. I am telling you for a fact that we pay more then twice what the local Kia/Mazda dealer charges. Rick probably gets somewhere a little less then us. It's a matter of what our supplier charges us. Stop making it out like on a $900 gear set we were taking home $600. It's clearly not the case. BigBen did the community a service because he went out and did the legwork to figure out that other gears would fit. But no one knew previously, I sure didn't. If I did why did I pay $900 for mine? Just be happy that someone found out. Remember business isn't the same across the board. Some people have higher costs then others. It depends on what you get charged and the quantity you plan on purchasing. So yes, you can find stuff cheaper by going elsewhere at times. Obviously, that's what's called an open market and smart shopping.

I also have thanked you for what you have done. But this should have been done a long time ago. I knew it was the same as some Mazda ring&pinion over a year ago and just never followed into it. To all the helpers(you know who you are) We thank you!!!!!! It is knowledge like this that keeps the grassroots racers going...We will continue to learn things about the car we love. Some are just easier to figure out than others. The guys flaming are the ones who get paid by the sponsors. We love s2ki and we will keep you going. Dont be mad at us, because this wont keep the greatest s2000 enthusiast website down. Nor will it hurt their sponsors.
