Some of the SCCA Solo street mod drivers are saying they are getting good results with E85 in high boost app.

I hate the 10% fuel they make us buy in Dallas. It has melted the plastic fuel filter on my lawn mower, and makes my S2000 run slower.

E85 from corn has little benefit as it takes almost as much fuel to make as you get from it. It also drives up the cost of corn which drives up the cost of alot of other foods (meat, milk, eggs and others). E85 from surger cane or other crops has protental.

Ethanol is a scam. I hate that politicians and car manufacturers are preaching it to the uninformed American people.

Proponents probably would say that the cost is worth it - to lower our reliance on foreign oil, y'know? So instead of making the OPEC fat cats richer, we'll make American fat cats richer.
Energy negative, so guess where that energy is coming from? Yes, petro.

ADM!!! Busted for buying politicians.

Ethanol from fast-growing, non-food crops, MAYBE. Ethanol from corn? Worthless.

To run methanol and take advantage of the octane really requires a turbo. It STILL has lower energy density.
