On a related note, anyone ever thought of converting the S to a 4 door? I'll go do some searches...

Yes ok... I know its stupid and pointless - I'm not interested in doing it! I'm happy with my S as it is!!

I'll let my friend know this:

Get a CR-V .. cut the roof off, install a blower, fit some coilovers. Be far cheaper!

Thanks for the help guys

Beat you to it.

Buy an RDX and chop the top! Voila, already turbo'd.

I am sure it could be done, but the question is SHOULD it be done? Seems like a lot of work and money for something that could be bought for a lot cheaper and still get the same performance.

Given that the front axle is in FRONT of the engine this would be a VERY difficult conversion.

You would essentially have to ditch the stock drivetrain and try to install some sort of transversely mounted engine and transaxle. And it would likely do something retarded to the balance of the car, like shift its weight distribution to 60/40 F/R or worse.

What would be the purpose of AWD anyway? Want the car to weigh and understeer more?

too heavy man... and yahh the motor is too far back.. but why make it all wheel..... like what u said.. it will definitely ruin a lot of characteristic in the car.... if your lookin for somein that is all wheel and running on turbo... might as well get an evo.. otherwise.... stick wid rear wheel in an s2k
