Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Viii
I have decided not to buy the Evo VIII that I have a $1,000 deposit on. It's a lovely blue and is sitting in the showroom, ready for delivery.
Anyone want to take an option on the contract?
It's a kick-ass car- 0-100kph in HOLY CR@P!!!- but I think I prefer the s2.

in Qld, you're looking at $68,764 on road.
if you seriously want it, let me know urgently. I'm calling the dealer tomorrow to tell him he can give it to someone else.

good luck with that. a friend of mine has an evo7, i love it...
but I think I prefer the s2.

that's what I said to the dealer- when the 6.5 came out, i drove it; it was an absolute balltearer. 0-100 in 5.2. NICE!
This thing is cut to 195kw, and is about a second slower. Sure, you could ramp it up pretty easily, but seriously- WTF?
Mitsubishi just can't get it right. The 6.5, great speed and handling, but the finish was CR@P and they wanted $80k for them. Strangely, the fact that they couldn't sell the fu@kers and had to discount them by $20,000 to get rid of the 100 they imported hasn't enlightened them- because now they bring in a good car, at a good price, and detune it to buggery.
Fools.
No wonder they are going broke.

Evo is a nice car, fastest 4 cylinder 2.0 litre in the world...i had evo 6.5 b4 my s2k...im still loving it, but gotta admit driving NA car is more fun than turbo..and yeah evo 8 is the ugliest off all evos......
