Default Ever drive your S in the rain?

Since mine is a secondary vehicle, I've generally avoided driving it in the rain or snow. However, Sunday afternoon I was caught in a thunderstorm, and realized that it was the only time the car's seen raindrops--much less been driven in the rain.

What about you?

Tim

I still had the temporary registration sticker on the window (about 1,500 miles) and I did an AutoX in the rain. Yes, I drive my S2000 in the rain, even though it is the 4th vehicle in my stable right now; it ain't going to be a Garage Queen!

With the top down, I noticed rain would get into the S pretty easily no matter what speeds I'm travelling at. With my old Miata, the cabin stayed bone-dry as long as the car was travelling >50mph even if I was driving through a down-pour. That's one gripe I have against the S.

I've been in serious rain w/ very high wind - not a single drop entered the cabin. I think a lot depends on how well the top is adjusted. When I first got it, contrary to the instructions in the owners' manual, I began running it thru high pressure car washes. Not a drop. However after the first year or so of ownership, I now notice that some drops come on on the driver's side where the seam is located directly to the left of driver's head. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd readjust the fit.

Its neat driving the car in the rain! Call me crazy but I've been forced to do it with the amount of rain we have been getting here in Chicago. I really like it. You drive more carefully but there are some pluses. I like seeing the water bead on the hood...it's the Zaino working! The car looks goregous even in grey weather. I think I would stop with snow though!

The "S" is my daily driver. I drive it through snow, slush, sleet and ice storms. Rain is nothing.

I do occasionally just to make sure the top seals well. I want to make sure to have any problems with it taken care of under warranty. It won't see snow though..Have to draw the line somewhere

I'm not sure I know how to raise the the top. It has been down since the day it was purchased. I generally try to avoid the rain and take the CRV when the wheather is questionable.

The only time the wipers have been on was when the fog was so thick it was leaving beads. Other wise, it stays covered in the garage. Bad weather is what the CR-V is for.
