Wow...only 40mph....just imagine a head on crash with both cars going 40mph.

yeah that didnt look too fun...the back of my head is already flat, i think an impact like that would just imprint the seat "grill" on the back of my head

I belive crashing into a stationary barrier like that is supposed to simulate a head-on collision with another car of the same weight. I think it has to do with that whole equal-but-opposite reaction thing...

The mirror appears to flip forward when the "penetration" reaches the end of the crush zones. Notice how close the crush is to where the drivers feet are?
