From EVO to S2K to EVO and back to S2K?!?!
Been through what you've gone through. I'm notorious for buying cars, fixing them up, selling them, then wanting them back. I do have to say though that between the Evo and two WRX's I've had,the S2000 is by the far the most rewarding. But...that's only because I'm not that into straight line power anymore. Not saying I won't SC the S, but it's all about the thrill of driving it through the canyons. I haven't been hanging around people with fast cars lately, other than my friend with a twin turbo G35, so the temptation of having a fast car isn't that bad. Even when it does, I just dust him through the turns and happily kiss my S2000 after.
My vote is to keep the Evo...there are very few cars in this world that can run 10's, go pick up the groceries, go to the road course, kick ass take names there, then when you come home you can take your GF out on a date....IN THE SNOW.

I feel ya, I was torn between a new STI or the new gen Evo thats coming, but for one, didn't want to spend that much money, and I wanted a roadster. I'd still like a crazy all wheel drive turbo car someday, but for now I'm loving the S2k. I've never driven an STI, but I test drove an 07 WRX and the S2k feels so much more solidly built, FWIW. I think the quality of Mitsubishi is even lower.

dude evo's and sti's are played out man i'm sorry though i do like evo's because they are a performance monster but the raw feeling of an s2k is awesome. plus comparing a roadster to a awd turbo 4-door is way different. though evo's are great.....how can u not love the s2k, looks sexy as hell with a hardtop, lowered, some rims and damn you already got a looker.... here is a simple solution.
keep the evo
look for an ap1 since they are getting cheaper (11k-15k around where i live with over 70k on the odo, thats if mileage really bothers you)
turbo the biyatch
than loose all inhibitions and have fun top down hair flying everywhere fun lol
anyways nice mr though great car but i could never bring myself to sell my s2k for an evo! hope you make a decision to purchase an cough cough s2k lol

It seems alot of people go thru this dilemma and end up with a S2000. I did it as many others have said they have too. There is just something about it that is appealing to you that your mind can't seem to be able to pin point. Either way, your heart has decided what you want, you mind can't seem to follow.
