lol true get the best of both, and also if friends are gonna talk shit on your car and dont respect what you drive, what friends are they anyway? All said, just go with what feels right. Your saying its bad, well get your s2k and PLAN and start over. I am pretty sure you will be very satisfied with your ending result. I sold my evo for V-tec and i dont regret anything.

Oh and when i drove my evo i felt like a pro driver, then i got in an s2k damn was i retarded.

One more thing listen to forum04 i got my license taken away for a year becase of my evo, with my s2k not one ticket, i really appreciate this car and everything about it.

Just trade me straight up, I'll even give you the volks with summer and winter tires I mean, heck... I'm addicted to cars too, but at least you have a practical car... The only car that I can fit my snowboard into is the S2000, and I do that by opening the top, shoving it in the passenger seat and closing the top... (and it kinda sucks trying to get up the mountain in it) I would get rid of my s2000 any day for the practicality and speed of an Evo.

That said, anyone selling a beater?

wow, talk about a similar situation...

i grew up right outside of nashua (over the ma boarder though) i went through a few cars and eventually in 03 bought an evo when it originally came to the states. i drove the hell out of that car, i went through hell and back in it as well, but i still loved every second. the great thing about the evo was that i drove it all year, so i didnt have to bother getting a beater for the winter.... well thats when it ran... thats another story

like i said i loved the car, it handled great, its is probably the best car as far as responding to minor modification, it looks great (to me), has the extra space, and is all around fun.

from there i plunged myself into a project car as i did not want to have to deal with a highly modified daily driver anymore, even though i ended up building another highly modded dd it was a 240 that i dumped every cent of what i sold my evo for into... hell it even got me a magazine feature, but it was unbearable to drive every day and i couldnt afford two insurances.

i then when to an s2k... now i had been driving hondas for some time before my evo and had always wanted one. i had driven quite a few before and knew that i wanted to get one, even though i did consider getting another evo while i was looking to purchase an s2k. as you can see i ended up with an s2k and haved loved every chance i have gotten to drive it thus far. the handling is more responsive and fun, the car overall is much more fun to drive. as it sits it feels faster than it actually is due to its great balance and handling. the only downsides were that i really did not want to bother driving it in the winter (got a beater), it has a lot less room (didnt matter much to me), and doesnt respond nearly as well to modification as a boosted 4g does.

with all that being said, and being through tons of busted cars and really fun cars as well, i wouldnt give my s2 for an evo at the moment. im happy where i am, i dont need all that power i was making with my evo or nissan, all it did was get me in trouble and debt the s2k is a more raw fun car, that has yet to bring me heartache since ive owned it... i guess ive just broken too many things on too many cars to put that one out

on a side note ive probably seen you around the area, my evo was silver with a cf wingless trunk and some work emotion wheels, and the nissan was grey with gold volk te37's, good to see another local on here
wow! small world

you wanted to trade your s14 to me for my 01 GPW AP1 on honda-tech.

youre also on evom.net

i saw your s14 a few times at NED

looks like after all that effort i made to sell my s2k, im comming back, lol

They are different cars. It maybe cheaper to own both than to trade back and forth

You can have all you want with this formula...

S2K + Forced Induction = YOU.

You'll have the sexy S that you want. You'll slaughter your friends on the straights with Forced Induction. And you'll take corners wayyyy faster than they will. You seem to have the green beans to go FI... so go for it.

Oh... And TOP ALWAYS DOWN!!!!

well, maybe i can help .. i use to own an evo where it was tuned very nicely .... and of course after years of racings on the stripe or CC .. things didnt look so great .. and by no means that the evo is bulletproof ! .. their tranny and t-case is made of croutons and it will prove itself in time ( racing of course )

im gonna list out the pros and cons

pros
evos have unlimitless power range
s2ks are sexy
s2ks / evo pure race cars, no frills just excitment
evos 4 drs seats more than 2
s2ks are a drop top roadster
s2k can keep up /out run with the best of them on a short course
evos have awd
evos are already on a turbo platform
evos comes with brembos
s2k are less of a cop magnet
evo comes with recaros
s2k high reving motors
s2k are more exotic

cons
s2k - rwd bad in your neck of the woods
evos - poor tranny and t-case
both cars has no frills
both cars has douchy drivers
evo has a cheaper interior
s2k has less of tq
s2k - hardtop optional

thats all i can think of right now .. but i honeslty think that the s2k are definitely more of a 2nd car than a DD unless you live south and its a perfect all year round car ..

It's been so long, it's hard to imagine what it would be like to have to live with one car. Variety is the spice of life, but it really is cheaper (at least for us) to own several cars than it is to trade every few years.
