For Mugen exhaust, I heard that it's specifically design for AP1. I don't mind shelling out $1500 for that, but my car will be an AP2, so if I buy Mugen, will the car drop any performance, etc? I don't want to shell out $1500 to find out that my stock performs better than Mugen

Thanks.

I have the HKS HI-Power single outlet exhaust, and it have a very nice deep throaty tone to it...I love it.

No, there's really not enough of a difference between the car so the exhaust matters. It was designed for light weight and free flow. They actually have a version specifically for the 04+ models. The only thing they changed was the size of the tips on the end.

With any exhaust that you get here (excluding the straight through singles), you'll probably not gain much if any power with them. The biggest advantage is the weight savings over stock.
