Exhaust Ques.?
I want to keep the stock look of the exhaust, but I want a more aggressive sound. I just wanted to know if it was possible to remove the cats from the S and weld straight piping instead. Will the engine light coming on? And will it make a big diff. in the sound? Will I lose any hp or torque if I do this? FL doesnt have emissions, so that's not an issue. I did this on my old gsr crx and it was fine, but the S is a much newer car, so I'm hesitant....Any help is apprec...thanks
Some people have removed the stock resonator and got a bit more noise out of it. Some say it's a perfect sound and some say it's still too quiet. Buy a fujitsubo, it looks like a stock exhaust except in stainless steel, and it sounds nice.
I would leave your catalytic converter alone as you won't gain much (if any) sound from removing it. You can also get a hefty fine if caught without one on top of not being able to pass inspection.

you just cut it out and replace it with a straight seciton of pipe. It's that little box after the cat but before the muffler. You can just make sure that section is straight pipe. Also, as far as removing the cat goes. I think the check engine light comes on after you do that and it can discolor your bumper to a yellow tinge. Atleast that's what I've read somewhere on the board.
