i'd like to know which exhaust you put on your car that gave you 10-15 hp.
Check my sig. It's the Amuse R1000. Basically a straight pipe from the header back.

Come take a ride in my non-super/turbocharged S2000 and then tell me that the exhaust wasn't a flow restriction. I'm guessing the biggest restriction may have actually been the catalytic converter, but upgrading to the R1000 definitely removed some restriction from the exhaust system somewhere.

Edit: Oh, and don't forget that 55lb weight savings. Weight makes a difference on a car like the S2000.

If you want the oval tips you might look at the Spugen duals, I think they are available w/ oval tips (assuming the fitment is right for the '04).

once you get the dyno chart that shows me a 10-15 hp gain instead of relying on the ass-dyno, then i'll believe you. not trying to start any kind of beef here or anything, but i'm very skeptical of this. you show me an extra 10-15 hp over a baseline run and i'd buy one tomorrow. until then, it's all just speculation.

i've seen dynos of a ~8whp gain with the r1000(with a baseline run), but i don't feel like searching for it.

Get your checkbook ready.

Unfortunately, I don't have a baseline after the header was installed, so my next dyno will show the gains of the header + exhaust, but I'd guess the header itself only made 1-3hp on the top end. Most of its gains seemed to be between 4500-7000 RPMs.

Anyway... the car won't be back on the dyno until I get my current suspension issues sorted out, but hopefully that will happen within a couple of weeks. I'll try to remember to post back here, once I get the results.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that there are a couple of dynos floating around here that have shown 10-12 hp just by replacing the stock exhaust system w/ a single exhaust + test pipe. Since the R1000 is basically the same configuration (with slightly larger piping diameter), I expect to see at least the same gains.

coming from a mostly american background i always considered ricey:
super loud obnoixous exhaust with a 4" pipe, f40 style wing, neuspeed decals, 5" tach near the door, primered rear valence and some shoe polish on the back window from last night's 1/4 track run.

I'd rather go to Home Depot and make my own using squared rain gutters and make my own custom exhaust.

I'd then weld a good ol' Maxwell Coffee Can powdercoating it black as my tip. If budget allows, I'd go with 2 Hills Bros. coffee cans.

Looking for an exhaust.

Single, Dual, Titanuim, best sound, which rules them all.

unleash your bias and personal opinions here.

please strike below the belt.

right now I'm looking at spugen dual and single, invidia, along with extemely expensive jdm examples just for fun.

who cares about HP, since it is minimal in our highly tuned H.

round 1 ding ding!!

below the belt.....
