I never said the entire exhaust is ricey. Just the blue tips. Making them blue on purpose has NOTHING to do with performance and it's purely for looks. So yes, it's ricey. And yes, I know titanium turns blue from heat afer awhile, but the tips were intentionally heated up before any actual usage to make them blue.

So back to my original question...has anyone attached the '04 tips onto aftermarket exhausts?

you think the blue tips on the amuse exhaust are ricey yet you want to attach the 04 tips on an aftermarket exhaust... how ironic

What's ironic? I'm keeping the stock look.

Ahh... but if the blue tips on a Ti exhaust are ricey, then polished tips on a stainless steel exhaust are also ricey. It's the same concept. Any type of "finishing" process, whether it be blue-ing of Ti or polishing of SS would be rice by that definition, because it has nothing to do with performance and it's purely for looks.

As to your other question about the '04 exhaust tips... I wouldn't expect that to work, simply because most aftermarket exhausts either a) don't have removable/replaceable tips, or b) have a different size outlet diameter, therefore the stock exhaust tips wouldn't fit on there.
However, if you could find an exhaust with the same size outlets and removable finishing tips, then the stock tips should fit on there.

i'm sorry to say, but any amuse product is far from being "ricey".

you called something ricey when your trying to do the most ghetto shit on your car---putting on an 04 tips on an aftermarket exhaust. And just to answer your question, they are not going to work.

I honestly dont see a point of doing the swap anyways, dont you know the stock exhaust ALREADY flow very well? most of ppl bought their aftermarket exhaust systems cuz of better tune and look...and the amuse exhaust is proven to provide some gains.

I am not gonna discuss this topic any further, its a waste of time trying to talk some sense into those who dont know jack shit about JDM. Just dont give something a bad name when you dont know it at all.

Blah blah blah. I prefer the stock tips because they match the STOCK rear bumper. If it's not going to work then say so or point me to one that's just as light and has similar oval tips. Don't waste my time and yours with your jibberish. And no shit I know the stock exhaust flows well. I like to shed some weight off the car which is the primary reason I'm interested in an aftermarket exhaust.

Please spare me the whole JDM spiel. I never gave the exhaust a bad name. I just don't like the tips.

But, considering the exhaust weighs 55lbs less than the stock exhaust system and probably increases power by 10-15hp
i'd like to know which exhaust you put on your car that gave you 10-15 hp.

if we are going to get into the debate of RICE, then i'll go ahead and say that by the strictest definition of the word that anyone who puts a modified exhaust on their S2000 is a ricer. the exhaust already flows GREAT and unless you are super/turbocharged it's really not a flow restriction at all. PLUS dual exhausts on an inline engine are by their very nature ricey. why split one exhaust pipe into two other than for the look of a dual exhaust?

having said that, i plan on putting a blitz realize tt dual on my car. so who cares? at least it's nice rice
