I'm tired of waiting! Which exhaust for sure fit the 2006 correctly? I know the Invidia does but I also know it drones. I have been waiting for other's like HKS or Comptech to come out with an 06 exhaust, but I haven

If you want a dual, try the T1R Sparrow before the invidia...almost no drone and much much much more quiet

Any pictures of the T1R Sparrow mounted on an AP2? Any sound clips?

Thanks.

I'll be blunt but honest...sound clips are worthless. Invidia sounds great in a sound clip...but sucks to live with...been there, done that, have the hearing loss for the rest of my life.

If you want to know what an exhaust really sounds like, find the s2k forum on s2ki that is for your geographic location. Find someone near you that has the exhaust you are interested in buying and ask for a ride.

I was considering the T1R Sparrow, but after seeing the pictures it appears that they do not fit correctly as seen in the above link. Also, they just don't seem to fill out the AP2 bumper very well.

I'm stumped,... I have herd that the Comptech will fit, but I need to know for sure before I order. I have heard them in sound clips and I have read that they aren't to loud, but I do not know about the fitment on the 2006?

More than likely the person who installed the exhaust tried to re-use the AP2 hangers. AP2 mufflers use 2 hanger hooks...most aftermarket exhausts use only one (as the OEM AP1 mufflers do). Best thing is to use AP1 hangers. If you re-use the AP2 hangers you will need to make sure you use them in the same orientation on both sides (you'll see what I mean when you look at the hangers).

I've installed a Sparrow on a buddy's AP2...it sits in the middle if you install it correctly.

You are correct that it does not fill the bumper like the Invidia or Mugen...but it fills at least as well as the Comptech.

That does look much better. I wish they would supply the correct hangers and detailed instructions to install on a 06. Then I would feel much more comfortable about buying it. I just don't want to take chance that I would not be able to get it installed correctly.

Do you know if the Sparrow is as loud as the Comptech? I want an exhaust that I can really here when I

That will be the case with the Comptech and Invidia as well...they use 1 hanger hook per muffler just like the Sparrow. Only a few exhausts use 2 hanger hooks per muffler (can only think of the Mugen and Amuse)
