I'm in the process of buying S2000 , though unfortunately has to be a used one... can't afford new one yet (hey I'm only 19!), my question being: Is there any way to get the Certified Pre-Owned title for the car if I don't buy it from a Honda dealer?

The reason I may not be getting the car from a honda dealer, is cause 1)they don't have any at the moment anywhere near my area, 2)the ones they had are WAY overpriced and I can get a much better deal else where...

Yep. I bought mine used from a Chevy Dealer.

There is a few threads around here, I think someone sells extended warranties through their dealership, which is cheaper than what I paid.

When I went to get my S serviced, I asked them about it, and they were more than happy to sell me a warranty. Do your homework before you agree to buy one, I wish I did.

 

I don't know about the extended warranty. I have one and nothing that has gone wrong is covered.

If so, then you can just purchase an aftermarket extended warranty. There's a few guys on S2Ki that sell them for pretty good prices. That would almost certainly be cheaper than buying a Certified Pre-Owned car from the dealer at a premium.

Btw, I will very likely be selling my '02 S2000 in the near future. If you think you might be interested, PM me your target price, color, mileage, etc., and I'll see if it's in the same range. I live in the SF Bay Area but often visit the West LA area on the weekends.
