I said I had no preference, but I dont like the looks of eyelids on AP2 headlights on AP1's they look a little bit better.

It really depends on the car. I have seen cars with eyelids that complimented the car but in the case of the S2K I dont really care for them.

I like OEM as well.

When I see all the 'flair' that people put on their cars it reminds me of the old days where 'being cool' meant customizing your ride at AutoShack with some far out curb feelers, gold rimz, louvers, fog lamps, thrush mufflers, and a phat wing. It was not appealing then, and it ain't appealing now.

I can understand true drivetrain performance upgrades on this car, but anything else looks silly.

Honda spent millions on R&D, testing, and refinement with this car for the best mix of performance, handling, reliablity, and appearance. I trust their results.

Ruprecht,

So basically you are against anybody pretty modifying the S2000 in any form.

I suppose that your S2000 is completely stock with the exception of drivetrain upgrades.

They do give the car a more aggressive look from afar - up close they are tacky and obviously lame IMO - but I do like the look.
Couple of years ago I ran across a company that made vinyl ones (may still exist for all I know) fit and look was MUCH better than the fiberglass add-ons but the color match sucked. If I should revamp the front end in the future I might try to paint them directly onto the plastic.
Looks like I fell throught the cracks in your poll. Like the look - hate what's currently available.

It is completely stock everything at this time.

If I keep it long enough for the warranty to expire, I would consider putting in some goodies for the drive train.

I figure when I purchased the car, a component of the price was the warranty. I don't want to risk losing that value, or suffer a downturn in reliability until it is old enough to become a project or hobby car.

I would LOVE it to be faster, but my love for the power is offset by my angst against the hassle of dealing with a warranty rejection, reliability issues, or even a rough idle.

After warranty expiration and as the vehicle ages and begins to suffer from mechanical wear that I will have to repair on my own nickel, I reckon I will spend a dime and get some upgrades.

Yeah, I personally am a big suspension guy and that was the first thing that I purchased and second were wheels and tires. All else has been aesthetic, tan interior, AP2 shift knob, canvas glass top...

Hopefully I can get a close up of what these eyelids look like so that I can determine the cause for disgust.

They are okay to me. No real preference.

I personally do not own the eyelids but I do not understand the intense dislike for them (Unless they are carbon fiber).
It's called personal opinion...

You don't need to understand it. Others don't like them. You can formulate your own opinion.
