I had mine for 15,000 miles, always checked the oil, never lost any. Also, I changed the oil first at 5000 miles, then from the second oil change on, used synthetic oil. It definitely reduces the "kick" you feel when going into Vtec... good or bad depending on preference.

Really...u felt a difference when you went to synthetic?!!
I didn't feel any difference on mine...well, I felt that the engine operated a bit smoother overall. Maybe that's what you meant...smoother operation into vtec?

Just changed my oil at 5500 miles and it was at the same level as when I bought the car new with 3 miles on it.

I have burned none on my new 08 cr. The level is stable and i have not had to add any. I plan on doing the first oil change when the oil indicator tell me to. After that I will do it ever 5k with synthetic!

I did my first oil change at around 4500 miles, when the maintenance minder was at about 15%. Zero oil consumption too.

No oil loss here either! I didn't get mine brand new but I'm sure the previous owner didn't get the oil changed as the car only had 2500 miles on it when I bought her. I put lots of highway mileage on it after I bought it.

[QUOTE=CoolBlueS2k,Jul 21 2008, 07:31 PM] I lost about 1/5 quart of break in oil.
First oil change was a little over 5k miles...switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic.

be careful changing your oil at 9k with mobil1. a few UOA's show that mobil1 thins out after 7k ish..

i changed my oil every 500 miles till i hit 2k a bit excessive but whatever.

i just changed my oil and i have roughly 22XX and im still using hondas dino oil till 5k or 10k i havent decided yet. my OCI's are going to be 3k to 4k. and im using 10w30. and will switch over to amsoil 10w30 synthetic when i find a dealer near me..

and no i dont burn oil. as stated before ap1's are known for burning oil, i havent seen this to become an issue of the ap2's but even if it was i doubt its as severe as ap1's.
No no no...I meant 9k which it will read on my main odometer, which will roughly be 4k miles since my first oil change & was also when I changed to synthetic. Sorry for the mix up...I would never have an interval of 9k miles to change oil in any car, let alone my S.

I'm actually gonna change between 4k and 5k mile, I'm gonna try and make time and start looking into an oil change when the interval hits 4k miles(which will read 9k on my odometer).
