That is all to say that Honda would carry out it's regular warranty and if a problem where to arise with the S/C, Comptech would warranty it for the duration of the Honda warranty. Essentially adding a Comptech S/C would not void your Honda warranty.

Makeshift sense since their kit was the only 50 state legal kit. I'd imagine they were mostly SoCal dealers since Comptech is here in SoCal. I have also seen a full Comptech NA1 NSX that had all kind of goodies. The owner claimed it came that way from the dealer
I'd like to see the window sticker on those cars

Comptech split off part of their operation around the end of S2000 production, from what I understand. I also understand that Honda had a full warranty for those cars Honda had modified by Comptech; it was the only operation Honda recognized in that way. They were involved with the NSX engine so that is probably the reason.

Shad can do great things with both S2000s and NSXs; that is their bread and butter. They are pretty busy chasing the race car circuit but they know these cars inside and out. They have moved from Cameron Park to Rancho Cordova close to the Costco there. All east Sacramento CA.

This has nothing to do with the S2000 but I think most of us are Honda lovers so here's another "Factory" comptech car you probably hadnt heard of

I think that would add legitimacy to this thread and if someone can show me one I will bow before thee.

Idon't think I even really believed what I got at the time was "factory". I've only heard of stories, But nothing legitimate besides Shad. Since then I've never heard of another person besides myself. I just want to find another person or some hard evidence.

I feel like the word "Factory" is a major misnomer to what you're saying. It's not "from the factory" like a bunch of options are. It's an agreement with Comptech (probably) OR the local Honda said to themselves "if the guy is willing to pay sticker price on the car then sure, we'll warranty the SC at a shop we know is good..." because at the end of the day they're making more money out of it... A bunch of people do warranties so long as the price of the warranty pans out for their risk.

I will use "dealership" instead of "factory" from now on to avoid confusion

I would love to see the original invoice for that deal! Just curious on how much more the mark-up was...
