I know one car ran a 129mph trap (which is good for low 10's on slicks) with no launch and a stock rear end.

in fact, wasn't that you?

and yes, memory serving me correctly, the aussies have an S2000 that has run a 10 second timeslip.

so that WAS you that ran the 130mph trap. now imagine what you'd do with a launch and slicks.

Car and Driver put a bunch of that Vishnu stuff on their long term EVO- and it became so unreliable that they reinstalled the stock parts.

Performance wise the stuff worked, and it the car didn't blow up or anything, but there was always something wrong with it.

So maybe that stuff isn't as street friendly as some think.

That doesn't sound right, I imagine the Evo's pull nearly 1G on the skidpad STOCK. Unless of course the Vishnu car was very lightly modded in the suspension department.

Also I don't think that car really pulls 3 second flat 0-60's. Does the Vishnu 5 grand kit step up to a bigger turbo?

1.9 is pathetic for a RWD car. My FWD 00 turbo civic that made only 176/173 to the wheels ran a 1.7 60 foot on an OPEN DIFF and drag radials.

EDIT: n/m just saw that you didn't launch the car for fear of grenading your stock diff into the grandstands I was thinking a car that can run a 7.4 in the 1/8 should be able to pull off a 1.4-1.5 on slicks with a good driver.

I've seen that superstreet mag about the 852hp S2000, It is true. But I also agree that most if it is "cosmetic" in that it doesn't go on the track. It could prolly kick butt for like 1 lap, and then completely breakdown or something. There is alot of money in sponsorships and advertisement. There are plenty of ppl/companies that profit from making "high hp" cars and customizing them and all that. So what if it doesn't make it to the track, the advertisement is already there, and you can take pictures of it. It's a legitamate business even if the numbers don't add up right (lap times, hp, etc).

-You see cars that you have looking fast and hot. You also see brand names everywhere. Chances are you'll go out and buy stuff for your car so it too will be fast and hot. Marketing has came out ontop once more.
