I agree with Ric.....I just add Blizzaks and some weight in the trunk.....no problem this past winter with Philly area snow. Puts a smile on my face every morning.....too bad my commute is only ~12 miles, but the river drive is pretty nice.

If you don't car about the ride quality, noise, confinement, lack of luggage space, blind spots, and teenage boys fawning over it like a centerfold, then its a fine dd.

From a reliability standpoint (your original question), don't let the complaints on this board fool ya. It's a honda. What else do you need to know?

For the daily drivers who drive around in the winter/snow prone states...("lako" and "girlzrace2" in particular since you're both from Chicago)...do you have the hardtop? How does the plastic window hold up against the cold, rainy, snowy, iced up days??

I've had nothing but peer pleasure using my Stook as a daily driver. Best yet, it doubles greatly as a weekend car!

Seriously, when I need more room to haul stuff, I just bring out my ol Honda Odyssey. But I do miss the times when I can take out friends and family in a nice luxurious fun ride...hence I'm looking into something like the Stook (fun, great handling, visceral) with 2 more seats in the back. Funny thing is, I contemplated buying a cheap Civic or Accord to go along side as a daily driver, but i could bear the thought of not having the same excitement every morning and night on my commutes!

My S2000 has been reliable so far, but I am glad that I have two other cars.

I do not enjoy driving my S2000 in heavy stop-and-go traffic. I do not care to drive it in the rain, much less the snow. I never drive it to the mall, grocery store or any of the high-car-theft areas near my home. I could not leave it in an airport parking lot for a week, as I can do with my other cars. It is too small for my family of three and I never let my dog (who gets motion sickness) ride in it.

I enjoy my S2000 mostly for long rides on the weekends and my wife drives it to work when the roads are dry.

I drive my S2K daily, except when I have to carry something (either additional passengers or small packages), then I drive my Civic. It is great fun just to watch the other cars and drivers when the top is down and you are stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Mine serves very well asa daily driver... just watch your tire wear for those rainy days!

...I'm holding out hope that Honda will introduct a rear-drive, S2000-inspired sport wagon to compete with the likes of Audi, BMW, etc.

Then my stable would truly be complete.

I drive it to work about three to four days a week. If I didn't have my second car (which I won't in a couple of months), I'd drive the S2000 every day. The engine isn't necessarily "loud", the ride isn't harsh, and you certainly don't have to worry about any break downs

Drive mine "every" day, rain , sleet , snow , or Sunshine , year around. All I do in the winter is give her Blizzaks and we are on the road. Nothing like driving an S2000 after a very frustrating day of analyzing computer code - a quick rev to VTEC world and the day is behind you. Besides if I did not look forward to my drive every morning I would not be able to afford her.
