I just have to get this out of my system. I HATE that the paint on the front of these cars is so thin and brittle! Everyone who knows me from the S2K meets knows me as the "anal one". So I like taking really good care of my car. After I came home from the last Orlando meet, I found the first chip in my hood after a year and 2600 miles. Its so small though, I got over it. Then, last weekend, I went to the Rolex 24 in Daytona. By the time I got back, the car had traveled about 350 miles and was in the rain for 48 hours. So, I just finished washing the car, and found another good sized chip further up the hood AND a dimple in the bumper like something small (rock size) hit it but didn't chip the paint. WHAT DO I DO?! I have the factory spoiler, so I can't put a bra on the car. If anyone has any suggestions, please help. At least try to make me feel better and tell me your stories.

Sounds like stoneguard would help. Costs around a grand for material and to have an expert install it.

I can feel your pain. But look on the brighter side, you can have 2 small chips and an indentation AND live in Tallahassee. Be glad you're at where you're at. 2 out of 3 isn't as bad as it could be.

OK, so lets say I go ahead with the StoneGuard. What can I do about the damage that's already been done besides having two body panels repainted for about a million dollars? Thanks for the advice though. How long will the Stoneguard last?

It may sound crude, but for a black paint color like mine the application of a black indelible marker pen effectively hides the occasional paint chip that appears as a white spot.
