Feedback needed re: Rick's windscreen!!!!
Another option for rettaching the wind screen clips & any plastics is a hot melt glue gun.
I use mine all the time around the house, its messy, and stringy but with practice you can do a reasonable bead around stuff as well as in between. I feel it has done a better job than silicon(for gluing) in most cases, but you can't squeeze the parts together very well as it cools quickly.
I also does a good job of metal to plastic or metal to metal. It stays slightly pliable(which is good) and can be trimmed carefully using a very sharp knife.
Good luck, I am thinking "wind screen" myself.

Have installed Ricks 7/8ths. It has reduced the wind a great deal over the stock wind screen. The head rests should do the rest of the job.
I used two clear plastic furniture slides to shim the wind screen. Minimal vibration at 80+. Sorry haven't got to the 90's with the top down.

i have this idea to experiment with different heights/ styles of aero screen, but it will have to wait until i get the car mid march. in the meantime, can anyone advise the max height of a solid plywood screen that won't unduly block rear visibility, btw I'm 5ft8.
PLYWOOD!!! Oh Dude, that will look SWEEEEET!
I'd say 40 inches should work fine,,, but you'll have to sit up real straight!
Freddie
P.S.
Don't forget to use a good "clear coat" when you paint it!

I just installed mine yesterday too. I used Epoxy. It seems to be making a creaking noise when it vibrates. I may try the clear tubing approach. If not I'll take it back apart and reglue it with something else.

? A plywood screen any more than about three inches high would begin to block rear visibility.
