My husband made a similar mistake--no drinking involved--when driving my S to get a take-out order at a local restaurant. Then I finished the job in my parking lot at work This was when we still had our 04. Ended up having to get the bumper repainted. Since we both did it, we couldn't say anything to each other except that we were both I wonder how many S owners never kiss a curb??

Taking a cab to the party and back home would have been cheaper than buying a new lip. Bet she feels more bummed out than you -- you got the new lip and she's out of pocket for doing you a favour!

On your wedding day, give her back the money she spent on your new lip. This will guarantee a great honeymoon.

This is a very sweet idea and I'm sure it would actually mean a ton to her. Nothing wrong with showing your lady that she is more important than your car.

nah nah nah....I say:

on your wedding day, get her good and liquered up. Then, at 7:11 in the morning punch her in the chin leaving a small cut...right on the butt of the chin. Next, give her a bandaid to put over her wound. Then lean over and tenderly whisper into her ear; "now you know how I feel".

Face it. Everybody with an s2k has this problem. In fact, the problem isn't confined to s2ks. About every newer car I see has some damage from parking curbs down by the chin.

The problem is that some places just flat have their curbs too high for modern cars. They should be required to lower them. There ought to be a law! Wait. My wife is running for our state's Legislature. "Hey, honey?"

Thanks,
Richard

I have 18" gold curb feelers so I don't run in to this problem.

But, it only left minor little gouges and she just bought me a chin spoiler from hardtopguys site to cover rub marks.

could be worse huh?
You got off lucky. Smart decision to have her drive unless she had something to drink as well.

Happened to me about three times. The third was the worst, since the ground level was slightly decline.
