My tran grinds 2nd but its not to the point where its an issue. I want to get an AP2 trans but I know this would be expensive. Should I just wait until they became cheaper?

 

You refer to the F/D in your topic so im going to say go with the F/D. An AP2 tranny can end up costing more after labour etc. and you'll love the quicker more spirited shifts compared to an AP2 tranny. Sounds like you can live with the 2nd gear grind.

 

I think some time the grind is me not getting on the clutch enough and trying to be quick

 

go with a different final drive gear such as the 4.56. it's less expensive, AND it will net you quicker acceleration than just the ap2 tranny.
