Final word: Gears on AP2?
Okay, I have done a TON of research on this site regarding this topic but have not been able to come up with a solid answer. However, there was a few facts that I was able to come up with.
4.77's are FAR too aggressive for a daily driven AP2 due to low top end and tons of shifting necessary for daily driving.
4.57's on the AP2 are like 4.77's on the AP1, which means it might still be a pain in the ass to daily drive; but I'm not 100% sure on that.
4.44's seem like the best option for us AP2 drivers, as it techniquelly puts us in the same boat as AP1's with 4.57's. This is supposedly due to the different ratios for gears 1-4 between the AP2 and AP1.
Can anyone (xviper, wisconsin) give me and everyone else some final insight on what the deal is and maybe make this a sticky, since:
a) the search rarely works correctly
b) I'm sure tons of AP2 owners would like to know the information.
Thanks in advance for any help given!

Personally I like the 4.57. They were designed with AP2 in mind. It is a 4.77 low and a 4.44 up high. I have an AP1 with an AP2 transmission. Only the speed in each gear is differant from an AP1 w/AP2 tranny and the AP2. The car was a blast to drive. It just got up and went.
Also, there is a number of AP2 owners with these gears and they say the same thing.
Here is the math.
AP2 Changes vers AP1
Gears 1-4 = 4% lower for performance
Gear 5 = 1% lower
Gear 6 = 2% higher
4.10 Gears
1-4 = 4.223
5 = 4.141
6 = 4.018
4.44 Gears
1-4 = 4.6176
5 = 4.4844
6 = 4.3512
4.57 Gears
1-4 = 4.7528
5 = 4.6157
6 = 4.4786
4.77 Gears
1-4 = 4.9608
5 = 4.8177
6 = 4.6746

I honestly want to go with 4.77's, but I've just heard that they are far too aggressive. I don't know if that is 100% true or not.
I've been told 4.44's won't even give me a noticeable difference, which is obviously something I want to avoid.

Maybe we should do this with more topics, then just refer everyone to the "final" threads.
Just kidding ofcourse. I vote 4.57
