Default Finally bought my car last night!

Not gonna type too much right now because I'm just so exited and wanna go drive.... But I picked my 2001 silverstone last night, 33kmiles everything in perfect condition... Has an aem intake...

Couple quick question... the clutch buz when the rpm's are dropping in the lower gears is normal right? And when I'm in first and just do a normal take off (just evryday driving) some times I can hear a little click in the rear end, but it sounds exclusivley on the driver side and when ever i do hear it, it mostly (not always) happens in first when i take off.....

Any ways.... the mods are soon to be coming and hope to make new freinds and enjoy the forums.... Pics coming soon!!!!

O ya, how can i change from an enthusiast to an owner?

Congrats to my fellow ex-Audi owner! Have fun with it.

Clicking in the rear end...that's not a good sign. Rear diff failing?

well, mine clicks b/c of the little wheel ring (not sure what it's called) got damaged by discount tire (arg). Maybe it's that? Do the stock wheels even come with them? it's just a simple ring that goes in the center of the hub assembly.

that's normal for that year car - the first S2K that i drove had that sound. i believe there is a TSB for it, you can find it on this site.

Your 'click' is most likely the rear wheel hub nut not to torque spec. or you need some grease on the splines. The best thing you can do is read all the FAQ threads in the 'Technical' and 'Under the Hood' Forums. And

Use the search feature.!!!!

I think you can change your status in the MYS2K area..

Drive CAUTIOUSLY until you become familiar with the limits of the car.. Keep GOOD tires on it and be extra careful in the rain. I don't know how many I've seen wrecked in the first 90 days of ownership.. WAYYYY TOO MANY!!The best mod you can buy is performance driving school.
Have fun!
Cheers, Mike

buzz is a TSB issue, TSB54. Have it fixed before the warranty runs out.
