Going by feel is misleading.

My M3 is about as fast as my S2k. Friends were not impressed by the s2k's straight line speed, but thought my M3 had balls.

From my g-tech runs, they are nearly the same, except that the M3 has far, far better roll-on acceleration (ie, anything but a straight clutch drop from a dead stop), although at highway speeds I'd guess that the superior hp/wt ratio of the s2k would win.

Hey Shing,

A nice stock 3rd gen can be had for about 13,500 with some miles. The only problem is that the majority of used RX-7's have been modded and the reason the owner is selling is because of problems/soon to be problems. On average they are going for anything from 9,000 to 45,000 for highly modded. If you really want one pm me and I can give you more info.

Hey Malachi,

A) There wasn't one. I have just heard so many war stories of I beat this/that from a dead stop that after driving the car (expecting more) I felt like posting my view (Non S2K owner). Wasn't looking for any replies really.

B)You got it. You're Welcome.

Hey Rob,

you really know how to rile people up don't you? It was cool meeting you last lunch, and I'll bring my S2K with me next time and we can go for a ride. Don't jump to judgement until then, as you've clearly got a bad example of what the car can do. It's much faster then you describe - honest

Actually, the first time I drove it was the day I bought it.

Hehe, I know what a trouble maker you are You have that criminal look about you

I just wanted to make sure you didn't miss out on a great car just because you had one bad ride in it. I'm definately going to bring it next time, and I may actualy have some of my stereo stuff installed by then. Know how to make a subwoofer enclosure by any chance? No? Too bad

Oh, and next time you see an S2K on the road, bow down to our greatness

Great sig - wonder where u got the idea for it *cough copy-cat cough*

Bring it on. Just don't take yer eye off of her.

And actually I do have alot of experience building custom enclosures. I built one for a friend and his Conquest TSI that was shown in a Sound-Off comp a while back. MTX took pictures of it and thought that it was the best box they had ever seen in the Conquest. *not sure if that's saying much* I mainly built isobaric-bandpass enclosures though. You'd wanna go sealed for the S2K. Good Luck!

I just need someone to help me measure & build the box itself and make sure it fits in the recess of the trunk. Not asking for show quality construction or anything
