Default Finally got my S2K!

Hey, just wanted to say sup to everyone.

I've been a member on the board for a little while, but was too busy just looking up info on the car so didn't really post anything. Well I finally got my S2000 this weekend so I can officially be a part of S2ki.com

I think I got a good deal on the car... It's a 2001 Berlina w/black interior 78,035 miles at time of purchase. Right now thats around 78,180 or so Not bad for one day I think. Would've had more, but I spent all day yesterday washing and cleaning her in the cold The car was FILLTHHYY when I got it. And unfortunately I couldn't take it through a little touchless carwash because the car is too low for all the ones in my area.

It came with a CF front lip, Tein S-Tech springs, Comptech front strut tie bar, Comptech Exhuast, and Comptech Icebox. Body is in better condition than I would've expected for 78K miles. Has only one ding on the driver side rear 1/4 panel, a small spot with some missing paint on the front bumper and some chips in the paint on the hood and bumper... I'll try to get some pics by the weekend if I get some time where I don't feel like driving (yea right lol) Carfax was 100% clean. I paid $16,000 for all of this...

I did have one question though... The Icebox that was on the car doesn't have the top closing part that it normally comes with. So the way it is right now, when I open the hood, I can see the filter in the icebox cuz the "box" isnt closed. I was wondering if there was anyway I could get just that top closing part of the icebox... Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself... Hope to learn much more about my car from everyone on here... I'm looking forward to being part of one of the most close knit communites online

You mean the cover for the icebox? Why not just make yourself one? If your knowledgeable you could even do it using carbon fibre. Search google.

Never really thought about that... I was thinking that maybe the whole enclosure was properly engineered to allow the air to flow in some specific way Maybe I'm thinking too much into it and giving the engineers too much credit Guess I'll have to try and see how hard it'd be to make one myself...

thanks man... yea i think $16K was a good deal... esp with all the mods. I was thinking of getting an 02, but realized that I would have to wait a few more months for that...and that DEF. wasn't a choice for me considering the car I was driving since my accident in my civic hatch...
