Yeah sorry man, stuff like this always sucks. Also that will have to be repaired by a body shop. They will most likely have to repaint your entire quarter panel and door and blend it so it all matches. Sadly it will most likely will be a $1000+ job in the end.

Sorry to hear this. But I have learned that if you have a nice car like we do, that you better have a save place to store it at night, if not than that just asking for trouble. I know I wouldn't let my baby be outside all night. If I didn't have a garage to store my S I wouldn't have boughten it, and weighted until I had a garage. Garage is a must for this car, with the soft to and all.

unfortunately i had no idea when i would be able to move into a place with a garage. could've taken 5 years, or 10 years, or who knows maybe never. i still wanted to enjoy driving the s2000 and i guess the trade off for not having a garage is the risk i'm taking leaving it outside.

also for some reason our cars seem like it gets more attention than cars 10x more expensive. my neighbor used to park the new cl63 amg near where i park many times and nothing ever happened to that...weird

I think its because the S2000 looks more expensive than it is, and it has classic sports car proportions. AMG's just look like normal sedans and coupes to non-car enthusiasts.

Yeah, I never understood why the S2000 gets so much negative attention and theft issues than cars costing considerably more. My car was tampered with once in a parking lot at work and spit on at the mall, but that's been the worst so far; guess I've been lucky. I wont even mention the people who tailgate me and refuse to let me into traffic..that's become "normal" behavior.

A guy I know used to have a Ferrari 550 Maranello and he said he routinely got flipped off by people on the road. I just dont get it. When I see a beautiful car, house, sunset or perky set of 34Ds, I just want to appreciate it!

what happened to me few days ago is one old corolla from the opposite direction with the drivers window down, the driver actually throw his cigarette butt to me , lucky me was moving at 50+mph and it didnt touch my car.

sorry to see that man. good luck with the repairing.

that isnt a bad sratch.

when i bought my frist mr2, sprayed it over. looked great.
went to a parts place to buy smoe stuff... came outside

and the ENTIRE car was keyed. when i mean entire car, someone walked around the ENTIRE CAR WITH A KEY! every pannel had to be resprayed. so... maybe that will make you feel a bit better.
