yes there should be a vin number on the inside of the trunk and also one on the bumper by where you close it by the latch

as far as those missing console clips, you can get a box of them at AutoZone for $.99. Just pop one out and bring it in with you (there are 11 billion different types in all different lengths, thicknesses, and threading). They should be able to match it with a generic one. I busted all the clips when installing Rick's console cover. Thought I was in trouble. But only cost me $.99.

There is a glovebox under the dashboard???!!!??? I thought the thing between the seats with the secret compartment was the glove box!

Now you got me curious . . . must find a flashlight!

There is no glovebox on passenger side unless it's an 06. I don't know why you are being sent on a goosechase. Everything else you are being told to this point seems legit.
