I'd go with gears if you care about performance.

If you do ur own install with the gears you can prob get an AEM V2 too.

Gears will run around 800 with everythign needed to install and install will run 500 or more depending where you go.

If you get the 4.77 even cheaper you can prob have the gears kit+ install for around 1k.

 

Heck it never ends, but first id make sure that the car was up to at least stock specs(comp. test, tune-up, etc...), then change the oil and all the appropriate fluids using good quailty fluids to protect what you bought in the first place already, then start sliding down tht slippery slope of aftermarket upgrades... jst my $.02 worth...

350 dollar megan header, V2 around 250 shipped, test pipe 100 and invidia exhaust 600.

so 1300-1400 pretty much intake/header/exhaust

heh this be the cheap way to do it.

 

GET COILOVERS!!!! no doubt that you'll enjoy that the most. if you can save a little more, go for the tein rs's or ra's. i hve the rs's and it completely changed the way that car handles. i thought it was outstanding out of the box, but adding the coilover kit turned that car into a beast, at least in the corners!

 

I would spend it on drugs, then get high and spend the rest on hookers.

 

Most S2k owners dont know how to use coilovers to its best ability. I have RA cant wait till they go on!

 

I under stand the hi cost of S2000 parts but if i would have said $5000 the game would not have been as fun.
