First Automatic S2000 ever PICS + VID
The first S2000 with an Automatic Transmission has been built and is on the road. We built the 2003 Yellow S2000 with a 2JZ swap, T-88 Turbo and were going with the 6 speed Getrag but decided to go with a built Automatic, because it will stay in boost longer. The car runs and shift so smooth. Along with the 2JZ, Big turbo, and automatic tranny, we also put in a Nissan 300zx rearend and 1,000 hp axles. We are still in the process of tuning this monster but we will keep everyone informed. Will have pics and vids up in the next day or so.

Is this going to be the third 2JZ that has a lot of hype going for it, and then 2 months later we don't hear anything about, no dynos, no timeslips, nothing. It is almost as if they fall off the face of the earth.
Then NEXT week the owner will realize that the car was just crazyglued together and is falling apart at the seams.
Soul Coughing, wanna chime in here?
What's next, do you want to put in an extra set of doors and seating for four? Maybe a few more cupholders....
Geez, man. It's not even an S2000 anymore.

Of course its not going to be something that would be produced from any factory with a full warranty, and Im sure, like any project, it will have its issues. So what? Its not your headache, and regardless of your viewpoint, from a peformance aspect its going to be something to be reckoned with.
I was a member of Hybridz.org, where they specialize in RB, SR, 2JZ, SBC, SBF, L, VQ, VG, etc swaps into the Datsun/Nissan Z car. Of course we'd get some tools over at zcar.com that would say its blasphemy, the car was fine as is, blah blah. But as the owner of an L28ET powered 240Z, and after driving/seeing some fantastic and clean swaps of all kinds (RB Z32, SR S30s, etc) I can tell you, its a lot cooler and deserves far more props than buying bolt ons from a company and slapping them on.
Regardless, kudos on the 2JZ-GTE swap and I can't wait to see pics/videos/numbers.
+1 and subscribed.
