Thanks to Trivium! Wait I thought it was orange
First off, no one is saying 'you can't do it', obviously you can do the swap. So whoever it was that posted about 'who are you to tell him what swaps can and cannot be done', you are missing the point...big time.
Point of all this 2JZ hooplaugh is to get people drooling over power numbers. Why do I say that? Well, lets look at the history of posters talking about 2JZ-GTE swapped S2Ks: NO 2JZ swapped S2K on this forum has EVER posted timeslips of 1/4 mile passes or anything more than dynosheets, if that. The only videos you can find are of 600-700whp 2JZ swaps doing highway pulls or blowing ICP off...whoop tee doo.
A S2K chassis pushing 900 ft-lbs torque eh? How you gonna get that transferred to the ground buddy? You think the driveline in the S2K is long enough? Hows about the wheelbase? Didn't think so.
You bandwagon followers say 'so what, it's his s2k, let him do what he wants.' My reply - No shit, then let me call him out for being useless in making an s2k thats a dyno queen and nothing more.
The day one of you 2JZ-GTE swapped S2Ks posts a timeslip of less than 10.7, I'll be impressed and give you the proper respect you deserve for actually being innovative.
Just because you do something different doesn't mean you deserve applause, it has to be functional and better than the potential the original engine had, which you won't get from swapping a 2jz gte into an s2k. I don't care if you have 1,125whp and 950 ft lbs trq.
And to whoever it was stating that its a ticking timebomb for a F2x series engine to go around with 600whp. Your statement is stupid and naive. Here we have a built 2JZ GTE engine capable of pushing over 1kwhp, but then you compare a stock F2x engine...gee, lets 'think outside of the box' for a moment shall we? hows about you BUILD THE F-series motor ?!?! WoW! You can now push over 700whp reliably! But once again, if its not a drag car, whats the point? Dyno queen? Ooooh/Wow factor? If so, own up and say 'yeah, thats why I did it.' Stop hiding behind some other excuse to justify it and just be honest with why you did the swap in the first place.

i agree that the engine does not make the car, but there are so many aspects of the S that make it an S....I'm not quite sure on the specs of the 2jz blah blah engine, but i'm sure it weighs a little bit more than the F22C does right? so then wouldn't that throw off the suspension? and if the car doesn't handle like a S anymore, and it doesn't rev like one, and doesn't sound like one....isn't it just a Supra with a S2000 body kit?

First of all GPWhiteS2kFTW, my name is BrYan Scott, his name is BrIan Proctor. We both have Silverstone S2000's. His is a 2001 with a 2JZ in it and mine is a 2003 with a T-3/4 in it. I also have a 2JZ Yellow 2003 S2000. He never owned a Yellow one. I own www.stwok dot com. He is the creator/inventor of the 2JZ S2000 I am not. We are not the same person, despite what you think.
You know, Im still waiting for these alleged pics
In addition, is your car street legal?
...its not hard to make a car go fast, its hard to do it within boundaries > those being street legality.
...otherwise I'd just rip the skin off my car, cut off the trunk area, remove the headers. Basically, Id be left with a frame, a seat, engine/transm., and a steering wheel, etc.

This is just my opinion but I think the S2000 is what it is mostly because it is so much fun to drive. My opinion of driving has to involve a lot more then going in a straight line. I love the handling and how direct the controls are for the price. The overall sportiness of this car is what I like. If you really want something for a straight line buy something American, buts that just my opinion.
I feel the sticking a 2JZ motor in it sticks a lot more mass over the front of the car, and im sure it will ruin balance of the car. Thats fine if you want to make that car go ridiculously fast in a straight line with an automatic thats your choice. I thinks its interesting just keep me away from the drivers seat.

well i for one swapped my 06 with a b16, and only weighting in at a low 190lbs total. dyno at 1200whp @19000rpm with 12lbs TQ. 1/4 is 6.9 seconds.

hell yeah you got a buyer.
it may or may not be a s2000 depending on how u look at it anymore once the engine is removed and the silky smooth tranny is swapped with a auto. But the BAD ASS factor remains intact. i'm willing to bet my car, all the money in my life that i make, that if you take that car on the streets, to the ordinary guy or the mechanically inclined or even fellow tuners (not s2k guys, cause we all know how our engine sounds) they wouldn't be able to tell 2jz from f20c. and when u smoke them, its just more gratifying knowing not only did u trick them, but u also smoked their cherry ass's thinking oh its a lil car with a turbo ha.
aside from the Bad ass factor, the car itself is essentially the same, nothing but two pieces to a very big puzzle has changed. A car isn
