Default First Couple Of Mods

I have a MY01 S2000 with 60K on it I have had it for about 3 years now. My first mod to it was a Competition Stage 2 Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel. Since the install I have been looking into some bolt on mods until I can save up the money needed to go FI. I live in upstate New York and my car is a Daily driver. I do not drive it in the snow though. Anyway I am looking into some insight on bolt on mods. I know there is some stuff people say to stay away from and that is what this thread is all about. I want some info good and bad about the mods I have chosen to do and also if anyone feels they have a better suggestion than what I have listed please post up. My overall goal is to reach 220+RWHP I know some people will say search there are a million threads like this. I have and some info is very outdated. Thanks a lot- JOhn

Yeah, why put an intake on when you going to have to take it off when you go FI.
At least do mods that will benefit you after FI.

For FI "compatible" bolt ons, I would suggest
Spoon TB
AEM EMS
J's header
T1R 70R dual exhaust

These should bring you close to the NA power you aim at

Upstate??? You ought to stop into the local forum once in a while

My #1 suggested mod- Modifry Redline Warning Beeper
It may be a challenge to get it wired, but it is worth every penny.
The rev limiter on the AP1 is very strong, step into it and not only does it do its job, it actaully causes the car to slow down. The Modifry will allow you to nail each and every shift just before the rev limiter jumps in. Even people who say "Oh I don't need that, I'm fine shifting just by sound" after they have experience one typically say "holy _ _ _ _, I should have gotten one of these long ago".

Triple H to tell you the truth I am a pretty good shifter last year I ran a 13.83 at the drag strip with a 7K launch. I was completely stock and it was about 65 degrees out. Anyway If you really think a warning beeper can get my shifting bettter than that then I am all for it. Where can I find them and what is the price range so I wont be getting ripped off.

I hear what you guys are saying about doing parts that will benifit me when I am FI. But the only thing I am really going to be taking off is the cold air intake. I know a lot of people say a filter on a stick is a filter on a stick but I don't see it that way. I am looking into intakes right now and I was wondering the Difference between the AEM V1 and V2. Aslo any info on the Injen and K&N would be great as well. Thanks alot
