Who went the longest before driving with the top down? I've had my car five weeks now and today was the first time for me.

 

First time I took the top down in August of 1999 me and my brother an law were sitting in it and some broad in a car in cross traffic at a stop light doing 25 mph was hanging out the window screaming "S2000" and pointing at us.

 

The day I bought my first one (May 2001), the top was down in the sales lot. I knew nothing about the car, and neither did the used car sales guy. I got the manual a few days later. I drove home and couldn't figure out how to put the top up!! I thought it was broken. Called a friend who had a convertible and he said I had to set the emergency brake. Problem solved. I did know about the gas release, because the sales guy filled it up with gas before I test drove it. Can't remember when I discovered the secret compartment. Ah, the good old days! Still love dropping the top after eight years.

 

i drive my S from FL and my friend said that they whole 14 hour drive home, everytime he looked at me i was just smiling.

 

so did i. top down and lid off the airbox before i left the dealership

 

i put the top down for the test drive! its only up when its parked now

 

went top down out of the dealership. If the conditions are good its always down.

 

hehe, same case for me too. I got both of my S2000's in Florida and I was smiling all the way back to San Antonio, TX with the top down. Gotta love that 14 hour drive. Woooooooooo!

 

Unless its pouring down rain, the only time my top is up is when it's parked.

I'll put on a beanie, a jacket and gloves and rock it in the snow.

It was made to be down!

i just test drove an s2k with the top down and decided to put the top up to get a feel.
it ... was .... horrible! (maybe cuz im 6'2"?)
