Just drove between Palo Alto and LA...at the high end, I got about 28mpg - a couple mpg more than I was expecting, especially since I was doing about 80 the whole way!

In my '04, I get 27mpg or so on the road, and 12mpg when autocrossing - throttle always on the floor, rarely out of first or second gear.

Tires make a big difference in MPG on this car. If you run the stickiest street tires, you'll have a tough time topping 25 MPG. Totally worth it though.

Mine is on Dunlop star specs and I average 27-28 mpg with my 100 mile daily commute and around town driving. That mpg goes down quick when you let vtec sing tho =D.

I pulled 33mpg in my AP1 (test pipe, cat back, Azenis & K&N filter) going 72ish mph and 30 mpg in my AP2 (stock - 80ish mph).

Edit: Just reiterating that you should use the OEM Honda filter.

I wouldnt worry so much about size i only run the purolator PureOne , or the Bosh Distance Plus filter they both trap 99.9 percent of all dirt down to one micron and if you ask me thats pretty good it gives you that piece of mind that virtually no dirt what so ever is getting into the bearings. the Bosh is better than the PureOne because it has the highest burst strength and holds up to 30 grams of dirt where as the Pure one only holds up to 13 grams. To my knowledge these two filters are the best oil filters made and arent really expensive ether. Pure one is around $ 7.00 and Bosh is around $ 15.00 and both are the shape and size of the oem honda oil filter.
what about k&n oil filters i thought they were the best at trapping dirt? thats what i use

Not the best, but IMO, they do a good job. There are a few studies out there.
