Default First Ticket in the S

Well, was driving home last night from a friends house. 2 lane separated road with 55 limit. Got pulled by county police and he said I as doing 68 in a 55. Tried to talk him out of it, but he wasn't going to have that. I was flowing with other traffic on the road but he picked me. I've seen a few threads on here about how to beat tickets. Maybe I'll try one of those tactics. I got a wreckless last year and I just can't afford to have another speeding ticket on my record. I know, if I don't want ticket stop driving so fast, but it was late and I was flowing with the traffic just tring to get home.

When it comes to driving with the flow of traffic, it sucks that the sportier cars seemed to get picked out. I've never been in a situation where I fought a ticket, so I don't have any advice for you regarding that route. Good luck with it.

did he radar you? if he didn't you could plead not guilty, say you were flowing with the traffic. most of the time the officers are dumbfounded when the defendant claims not guilty and they don't have much to say in a case where they didn't radar or laser or whatever. just my .02 based on my 4 experiences sitting in montgomery county, Maryland courthouses.

Do you have a radar detector?

I can relate. I used to have a Mustang GT. Even when I was doing the speed limit I would get singled out. The officer would always have some excuse like "you were swerving" or "you were touching the shoulder". I guess when you live in a quiet town, you learn do deal with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you ask for a radar printout? can they even do that?

i have fought a ticket before.. 3 violation.. won 2 and lost one..
its all done by written declaration..it takes time and you still pay for the ticket now
if you win they will refund you..
took about 2 months i think..
good luck

wow, i fight every ticket no matter what! it never hurts to try, if you were picked off by the cop using a radar gun, you can ask to see when the gun was last calibrated, i have run into this situation were the gun was a week past inspection, therefore i got out of the ticket, its hard to win this way, but can work

I had a similar situation awhile back....just flowing with the traffic and the damn popo pulled me over and i asked him why me when other cars was going faster than me and he asked me:

" Well, when you went fishing how many fish do you catch at a time?" and i said "one", and he said "well, you just answered your own question than" Stupid a$$ popo!!!

I ussually just paid off the tickets, but now i took my time and go to court. You will be suprise of how much $$$ you'll save by just showing up in court for 30-45 minutes. Ussually they'll give you a plea and reduce the fine. So 30-45 minutes going to court and save $75-$100 then HELL YEAH!!! and also one more good thing by going to court is that you can delay your fine for couple to several months if you don't have the money to pay it right away.
