First Time @ 100 MPH
100 doesn't seem that magical to me, no offense. I've done it numerous times in much (MUCH) slower cars - a nissan pickup (102, woo!), an accord (115 in a 30), a corolla (was going 110 and got passed by 2 cars), and I just touched 90 (the hard way - no VTEC) in my S2K yesterday - which is not broken in yet, mind you. Of course I'm still young and foolish, but in the right circumstances going 100 is not that dangerous.
Hey give him credit for going to 100. Yes I have been 145 mph in my stook. In fact, I had it up to 105 on a freway on ramp! But it is different for everyone.
What is the fastest the rest of you guys have had your stook up to?

I hit 100+ mph yesterday by accident. Just after passing a car on I-287 and slowing, happened to look down and I was doing 99. This was the fastest I have been, but then again, my car is only a month old.

Most vehicles, S2K included, read about 5 - 7% optomistic on their speedometers. Some as much as 10%!
So congratulations on hitting 93!
the stook will do 107 in 6th at 5500...
was there enough times before 600 miles.
107 with vtec is a lot more exciting that without!
couple of 100 mph+ hints:
1. keep your eyes on the road always- this is really hard when you are vtecing above 100... but if you look down at the tach at that speed, things can change around you really quickly-
2. make sure no one is near you (especially in front of you)
3. no quick movements of any kind (this means mainly steering). a tiny adjustment moves the car a lot.

For the record these are my calculations of VTEC speed and top speed. I guess technically the rev limiter doesn't kick in until 9400 rpms so I haven't try calculating based on that.
I guess that this means your best bet would be to hit 90 at 3rd and then slam it into 4th and you would quickly be well above the 100 mph once your car is broken in.
GEAR..... VTEC (@6000 rpms) TOP (@9000rpms)
1st..............29mph..........................43 mph
2nd ........... 44mph......................... 66mph
3rd ........... 60mph ........................ 90mph
4th ........... 77mph ........................ 116mph
5th ........... 93mph ........................ 139mph
6th .......... 111mph ....................... 166mph
As most of you know the top speed would require perfect conditions. I believe that someone posted on the board that engine cuts out just over 150 mph.
If someone has exceeded this then please let me know!
